There are not too many places in this ever shrinking world of ours where five superb golf courses are within 'striking distance' of a unique holiday resort town. Hua Hin Thailand is unique! It has a wonderfully vibrant and yet 'lay-back' character, which has grown from its roots as a fishing village, becoming a 'holiday home' for generations of the Thai Royal Family and now to a busy market town, located next to a five kilometer long sandy beach. Include a colourful nightlife, (but not in your face), and of course golf as the other main attraction and you have Hua Hin. |

Hua Hin is actually home to the first golf course in Thailand. The Royal Hua Hin, just five minutes walk from the town centre, was built during the reign of King Rama VI in 1924. Still in wonderful condition and a 'must play' for most golf tourists, it now competes with five other golf courses in the area, all of which are now between twelve and fourteen years of age and well established. Though the condition of one, (which is not included in the Fairway Golf Tours itinerary), falls short of the mark, the condition of the other four courses varies from very good to excellent. Two of these courses are also in the process of upgrading by adding nine additional holes, offering more variety to golf visitors in the near future. During Thailand high season (Nov - Apr), many golf tourists visit the area resulting in rounds of golf being slow, with ideal tee times are not always available. This is unavoidable. However, with the all year-round temperate climate, low season in Thailand can also be an ideal time to visit and play. Although coinciding with high season in the Western world, air fares to Thailand during this period are relatively cheap and Fairway Golf Tours will arrange bargain packages to go with the cheaper air fares.
